Clear steps. Gentle accountability. Real community.

How it works

Digital Detox Collective is a simple flow designed to reduce compulsive phone use without shame: assessment → reset → circles → maintenance. You’ll start small, build momentum, and keep what works.

The full flow

Assessment → Reset → Circles → Maintenance

This isn’t “delete your apps and hope.” It’s a repeatable system: measure your baseline, complete a Reset workshop, get community support, then maintain with light structure.

1

Assessment

You start with a quick checkup to clarify what’s happening (triggers, routines, and where the time goes).

What you do
  • Take the 3‑minute checkup
  • Pick one “keystone” change (sleep, scrolling, notifications, etc.)
  • Choose your starting intensity (free / Reset Program)
What you get
  • A clear starting point
  • One focused goal (not 12 vague goals)
  • First reset recommendations

2

Reset

Reset is a two‑day weekend workshop (~6 hours/day). Day 1 focuses on understanding persuasive design, attention hijacking, and how platforms profit (“you are the product”). On Day 2 you review what happened the previous evening, learn how to replace phone compulsion with real activities (hobbies, relationships, sleep), learn common “traps” and how to avoid them, and build connection with the community.

What you do
  • Attend the 2‑day workshop (~6 hrs/day)
  • Day 1: learn the patterns + map your triggers and routines
  • Take‑home: try a few suggestions and journal your evening
  • Day 2: review, build a replacement plan, and practice “trap” prevention
What you get
  • Clarity about why your phone is so sticky (and why it isn’t “just willpower”)
  • A personalized trigger map + evening plan
  • A realistic replacement menu (sleep, hobbies, relationships)
  • Momentum from shared work and real connection
Key idea:

Education + environment design beat willpower. When you understand the system and change the defaults, “resisting” gets easier.

Circles

After completing the Reset Program, Circles are how you keep momentum: a real, consistent community where you check in, share wins, troubleshoot setbacks, and stay connected—so the change sticks.

What you do
  • Attend weekly circle meetups
  • Do a short check‑in (simple, consistent)
  • Get support on the “hard days”
What you get
  • Accountability without shame
  • Practical ideas from others
  • Real reconnection (not just less screen time)

Maintenance

Maintenance is your independent roadmap for staying steady, even when you’re not actively in Circles or not in the Reset Program. It helps you avoid the “I’m good now → drift → relapse → guilt” cycle with light, consistent, realistic structure.

What you do
  • Weekly review: what worked / what didn’t
  • Monthly mini‑reset: revisit wins, spot new triggers, and re‑apply your Reset tools
  • Reconnect when you want more support (Circles/events)
What you get
  • Long-term stability
  • Fewer “backslides”
  • A system you can run anytime
Want structure right away? Join now—start free or choose the Reset Program. Circles come after completing Reset.

Fit

Who this is for (and not for)

Clarity helps you succeed. Here’s when DDC is a great fit.

Great fit if you…

  • Want less compulsive checking/scrolling
  • Feel “busy” but not fulfilled
  • Keep trying willpower-based rules that don’t stick
  • Have tried content/app blockers (or similar tools) and they didn’t stick long‑term
  • Want a community approach (not isolation)
  • Prefer practical steps over motivational speeches

Not the best fit if you…

  • Don’t want any reflection or routine changes
  • Need immediate crisis support
  • Are looking for therapy (this is peer support + habit structure)
  • Want results without changing your environment

If you’re dealing with significant anxiety/depression, consider professional support alongside DDC.

Typical week

What the Reset Program looks like

Sat Reset

Education + awareness

Persuasive design, attention hijacking, and mapping your triggers.

Sun Reset

Replacement plan + connection

Review last night, learn the “traps,” build real alternatives, connect with others.

Mon Homework

Implement the setup

Put the Reset changes into your phone and your environment.

Tue Practice

Run the plan once

Try your replacement activities and journal what happens.

Wed Circle

Weekly meetup

Share wins, troubleshoot, and choose your next “one change.”

Thu Practice

Keep practicing

Schedule one offline activity (walk, hobby, friend, early sleep).

Fri Adjust

Light check‑in

Notice new triggers, tighten your “trap” prevention, and plan the weekend.

Most weeks won’t be perfect.

That’s the point of the system: notice, adjust, and keep going without guilt.

FAQ

A few quick answers

Still unsure? Start free with the checkup.

Do I need to be “really addicted” to join?

No. If your phone use is getting in the way of sleep, focus, relationships, or peace of mind, you’re welcome here.

Is this anti-technology?

No. We’re pro‑attention. One of our co‑founders is the CTO of a software company—this is about using technology intentionally so it supports your values (not the other way around).

What if I miss a week?

You just rejoin the next circle/check-in. Maintenance is designed to be forgiving and repeatable.

Where do I start?

Take the checkup for a baseline, then choose “Start free” or “Join the Reset Program” depending on how much support you want. Circles are available after you complete the Reset Program.
